Specialty Cocktail Menus
Below is a preview of some of the cocktails, mocktails, infused spirits, liqueurs, and syrups you can have at your special event or party when you book with RYS. For infusions, RYS requires a small fee for time and travel. In some cases, RYS needs the products/ingredients at least a week before scheduled event.
Special Enchanted Cocktail served by RYS at huge gala event called the "Modern Mule" aka "Ginger Flower". A cool twist on the Moscow Mule with citrus, ginger, and floral notes - very refreshing, complex, and sophisticated. Perfect for spring/summer. Great to batch or MTO.
- 1 oz Svedka Citron Vodka
- 1 oz St. Elder or St. Germain Elderflower Cordial
- 3 oz Unfiltered Apple Juice
- 1/2 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1/2 oz Fresh Sugar Syrup
- 1-2 oz Saranac Ginger Beer
- Edible Flower for garnish
Batch all ingredients, except ginger beer (top 1-2 oz) or add all ingredients except ginger beer to mixing tin. Add ice and shake well. Strain into an ice-filled collins glass or large rocks glass. garnish edible flower or lemon wedge.
Cocktail of the Week (April 2, 2015) - "The Orchid"

- 2.5 oz *Vanilla Bean-Infused Rum (recipe below)
- ¼ oz each of yuzu juice and freshly squeezed lemon juice or ½ oz of the lemon juice
- ½ oz Simple Syrup
- Garnish – Fresh Orchid Blossom or lemon twist
Combine all ingredients in an iced shaker. Shake vigorously and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish. This cocktail is perfect for the months.
* Vanilla Bean-Infused Rum
This infusion should be tasted after 4 days to check the strength of the vanilla. Vanilla beans are available at natural food stores, gourmet stores, and online retailers.
- 4 vanilla beans
- One 750-ml bottle of aged rum
Split the beans lengthwise and scrape the seeds out. Add the seeds and pods to a bottle of rum and set aside to infuse for 4-5 days, shaking daily. Strain and rebottle.
Cocktail of the Week (April 14, 2015) - "Cherry Blossom"
The Cherry Blossom cocktail pictured above was one of the signature cocktails I created for the spring/summer cocktail menu at Buddha Buddha Martini Bar and Cocktail Lounge in May of 2013. This cocktail is versatile and can be enjoyed anytime once the weather gets nice and sunny. The Cherry Blossom is a perfect to be sipped outdoors. This is one of the many cocktails people can enjoy for their special party or event and it is very easy to make at home. One of the special features of this cocktail is the use of lime cordial (my recipe below). You also have some flexibility with the main spirit, Vodka. As always, I list the brands that I would recommend. Marie Brizzard Orange Curacao is hard to find in PA, but can be ordered through state store system. You will see many different recipes of the Cherry Blossom online, but this concoction is my own version that is well-balanced and has received excellent reviews. Enjoy!
- 2 oz Prairie Organic Vodka
- 1/2 oz Marie Brizzard Orange Curacao (available through special order in PA) or Cointreau
- 1/2 oz Cherry Kirschwasser Brandy (brandy fermented from cherries)
- 1/2 oz *Lime Cordial (see below)
- 1/2 oz Boiron Cherry Puree (available for purchase online) or make fresh cherry puree at home (both optional)
- 1/2 oz Cranberry Juice

* To make Lime Cordial - Use a citrus zester or channel knife to remove peel from 12 limes. Place peels in small bowl. Squeeze limes into a glass using a hand squeezer and fine strain the juice into a saucepan. Add 1.5 cups of granulated sugar and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes or until mixture thickens (don't caramelize sugar). Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes. Add the zest to saucepan and let steep for 15-20 minutes. Fine strain mixture into a clean glass jar and store refrigerated for up to two months.
Prep - Add all ingredients to a mixing tin. Shake well. Strain or fine strain (if using cherry puree) into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish lime wheel.
Cocktail of the Week (April 22, 2015) - "Rhuby Collins"
- 1 oz Wigle 95% White Rye Organic Whiskey
- 1 oz Art in the Age Rhubarb Tea
- 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
- 1 oz simple syrup
- Soda Water top
- Garnish a lemon wedge
*You can prepare of batch of the above juices ahead of time by making a batch of fresh lemon-lime sour mix by combining 1 cup of simple syrup (make in saucepan of equal parts granulated sugar and water, bring to a boil, let cool and combine with lemon and lime juice), 1/2 cup of freshly-squeezed lemon juice, and 1/2 cup of freshly-squeezed lime juice.
Add all ingredients, except soda water, to a mixing tin. Shake well and strain into a Collins glass over fresh ice, Top with soda water and garnish a lemon wedge.
