Whisky Spotlight - Armorik Breton Classic Single Malt Whisky

It's that time of year when I like to sit down and enjoy a smooth and warming whisk(e)y in front of the fireplace. I found the perfect whisky to sip this winter and it hails from France. I received this rare bottle, as a token of gratitude, from Danl Cooney of Heavenly Spirits, importer of fine French Spirits, in Massachusetts for my written coverage and promotion of them during "National Cognac Day". I waited for the right time and a special occasion to taste it and it was well worth the wait. Thanks to Sam and Ann Sharp who gave me that opportunity during a recent Mixology Class and Party. It was well received by all the tasters, which comprised of traditional non-whisky drinkers, like myself. My new friend Bob and Sam certainly enjoyed it. I plan on saving the rest of the bottle for my next adventure with them.

This is a French whisky that’s worth trying. If you can find it in the U.S., it will cost you about $50, which is a fair price for a quality single-malt.

It’s a smooth sipper at home with friends as it is with a good book or warming up in front of the fireplace. It is a very satisfying whisky that will impress even those non-whisky drinkers we know. Armorik Classic will pair well with almost any kind of dessert, especially with creme brulee.

Enjoy!!! And Drink Responsibly!!! Look for my next post later this week.

Cheers, Michael
