Every bottle we make is grown, distilled and bottled right on the Tierra de Agaves' estate fields and the distillery is located just 5 km from the city of Tequila, Jalisco estate. In the picturesque central-pacific of Mexico lies the colonial town of Tequila and the Tierra de Agaves Distillery - home of Lunazul Tequila. In the town of Tequila, the locals enjoy a regional cocktail known as the Cantarito. It's an experience everyone should have, so give it a try at home: 2.5 oz. Lunazul Blanco, 1 lime, 1/2 lemon, 1/2 orange, 1/4 grapefruit, grapefruit soda, such as Squirt or Jarritos Toronja, generous pinch course salt.
Lunazul Blanco Tequila is crystal clear with silvery tequila highlights. The aroma has a refreshing fruity nose with tropical and apple notes with salt and citrus, similar to fresh agave. The taste on the palate is semi-viscous and peppery with fruit giving way to crisp citrus notes and a hint of vanilla. The finish is wonderfully balanced with long lasting citrusy, peppery, and herbaceous notes. It is a great value tequila selling for only $18.99 for a 750 ml bottle in select PA Wine & Spirits shops.
Technically, distillers can add four sweeteners to 100% agave tequila: glycerin, caramel dye, oak extracts, and sugar syrups. Lunazul doesn’t contain a single one. Why? Because they don’t need to.
This weekend, try a Mexican spin on the Moscow Mule: El Burro de Guadalajara. Fill a glass with ice, add half a lime (juiced then dropped) and 2 oz. Lunazul Reposado. Add 6 oz. ginger beer and enjoy.
Margarita = Lunazul tequila + fresh lime juice + orange liqueur. Class dismissed.
Try making an Apple Cider Margarita. 2 oz. Lunazul reposado tequila, 1 oz. Cointreau or orange liqueur, 3 oz. apple cider, 3/4 oz. fresh orange juice. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
Try a Paloma - 2 oz. Lunazul Blanco Tequila, 6 oz. Grapefruit Soda, splash of Lime Juice, pinch of Salt. Combine tequila, lime juice and salt in a tall glass with ice. Top off with grapefruit soda and stir gently. Garnish with a lime wedge.
How about a Mexicana Tropical? - 1 1/2 oz. Lunazul Blanco Tequila, 1 oz. mango nectar, 1 half kiwi, pinch of Sugar, splash of Club Soda
Muddle kiwi and sugar in a glass and place into chilled martini glass. Shake the other ingredients (except club soda) in a shaker with ice. After mixing, top off with a splash of club soda, and strain into martini glass with kiwi mixture.
