Cocktails By Michael - Late Summer Edition (Part 1)

Below you will find fabulous cocktails never released before and exclusive to all of my loyal followers and potential clients. I've been waiting to unveil these splendid concoctions till the right time and now is the right time since business is picking up and my fall and winter months are getting filled. You can have one of these served to you and your guests' at your next event or party.

  • 2 oz rosemary-infused Hendrick's gin
  • 2 oz fresh lemon sour
  • 1/2 tsp balsamic vinegar reduction (4 cups vinegar boiled and whisked to 1 tbsp of sugar whisked until syrupy)
  • 2 fresh basil leaves
  • 2-3 fresh strawberries

In a mixing glass, add basil, vinegar, strawberries and muddle. Add gin and lemon sour. Shake with ice and double strain into a chilled cocktail coupe. Garnish strawberry half.

Bamboozle

  • 1.5 oz Hornitos Silver Tequila
  • 1/2 oz Creme de Cassis
  • 1.5 oz ruby red grapefruit juice
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 agave nectar syrup (diluted with half water)
  • chilled lemon-lime soda

In a mixing glass, add all ingredients except soda. Shake with ice and strain into an ice-filled chilled coupe. Top with soda. Garnish grapefruit peel.

Bayou Zinger

  • 1.5 oz Southern Comfort
  • 1/2 oz Grand Marnier
  • 2 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 2 oz iced sweet tea (2 cups water boiled, then add 2 tea bags, 2 oz clover honey and steep for 5 mins)

In a mixing glass, add all ingredients except tea. Shake with ice and strain into an ice-filled mason jar. Top with sweet tea. Garnish lemon.

Blackberry Fusion

  • 1 oz Limoncello
  • 1 oz blackberry liqueur
  • 2 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 10 fresh spearmint leaves
  • 4 fresh blackberries

In a mixing glass, muddle blackberries, simple syrup, and mint. Add lemon juice, Limoncello, and blackberry liq. Shake with ice and double strain into an ice-filled rocks glass. Garnish blackberry and piece of mint.
