Enjoy this great seasonal Thanksgiving cocktail you can sip before, during, or after Thanksgiving dinner. You can even enjoy this elixir on Black Friday or this weekend paired with that left-over turkey sandwich and cranberry sauce.
Thanksgiving Cranberry Cocktail
- 2 oz Pyrat Rum or Crusoe Organic Spiced Rum
- 1.5 oz fresh grapefruit juice
- 3/4 oz Cranberry Syrup*
- 2 dashes Orange Bitters
- Garnish: Grapefruit twist
- Glass: Cocktail or Coupe
Prep - Add all the ingredients to a shaker and fill with ice. Shake, and strain into a chilled cocktail or coupe glass. Garnish with a grapefruit twist.
*Cranberry Syrup - 1.5 cups fresh cranberries, 1 cup water, ¾ cup sugar
Prep - Combine all the ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer until the cranberries start to fall apart, about 10 minutes. Fine-strain into a bowl (discarding the solids), and let cool. Cover, and store in the refrigerator.
